..it works. Setting it to 50% gives me just that little bit extra. So thanks a lot Tangerine! What's strange though is that iTunes feels the need to export all songs to the iPod yet again.
Also, I would like to thank the EU clowns and the French government in particular for making this possible.

re:You may prevent iTunes... - chambone
Thanks for your tips, but I like iTunes auto-sync feature so I'll stick with setting boost volume to 0 before synchronizing, and back to some higher percentage afterwards. Thanks for your efforts.Sunday, August 01 2004 @ 10:18 AM PDT
A more sophisticated help is now available! - Hans-Peter_Dusel_999
Dear folks,
Since yesterday,
http://volumebooster.tangerine-soft.de
is available again!
Further I've added some issues which has been asked me recently quite often in the
F.A.Q. section as well.
For instance - How do I tell iTunes to "manage the iPods playlists manually".
You will find the
updated F.A.Q.'s here
Kind, Regards

You may prevent iTunes... - Hans-Peter_Dusel_999
...to resync all titles on your iPod after a boost if you turn on "Manually manage Songs" within iTunes. ;-)First let me thank you for your great Rating! :-))
But back to issue: in addition please make sure that you have checked the Option "enable disc use" within iTunes!
How you can do so?
Well, connect your iPod. Then you should see its playlist at the left hand sided List.
Keep the control key depressed while you klick on the iPod icon in this list.
In this context menu select "iPod Options...". -> A window will pop up.
Herein make sure, that the two options "Enable disc use" *and* "Manually manage Songs" are selected.
Due "Manually manage songs" will disable the option "Enable disc use" you'll probably need to switch to "Automatically update all songs and playlists" *temporarily*.
But make sure that after you have checked "Enable disc use" to turn on the option "Manually manage Songs" again! Otherwise you'll get some trouble because iTunes will resync all of your songs after a "Boost". "Manually manage Songs" will inhibit this special behaviour of iTunes.
If you have any trouble to do accomplish what I wrote then please drop me a note to hdusel@tangerine-soft.de
Enjoy
