Bad rule logic?
No.
The rule logic is intended to limit the scope of scanning, not define
it. Thus if you only want to pay attention to certain types of files
(such as JPEGs), or you don't want to pay attention to other types of
files/folders (such as .cache files or the System folder), you can
easily dictate what ChronoSync does and does not pay attention to.
A "Descends from folder" rule would require ALL levels of the hierarchy to always be scanned.
This simply does not fit with the way the current scanning algorithm is
designed. We may eventually change this but, in the meantime, the
correct method of defining the scope of a sync is to a) use the
include/exclude commands in the Analyze panel or b) setup multiple
targets and place them in a container document.
