Yet another personal inventory management program, fun fun. Innovation seems rare, so I'm glad to read that you can "use an iSight or other webcam to visually scan in barcodes. This first-of-it's-kind innovation is almost like magic." Oh wait, I already read about that on Think Secret, an upcoming feature in Library 3 (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/tsnotes13.html).
Booxter's implementation of this "magical" feature is poor at best. One has to press a button to read a barcode via an iSight, so you have to hold the book level with your left hand when you press the button. This requires a bit of dexterity for larger books (see the "reverse pendulum effect"). Not only is it annoying to do, but it didn't work for me.
The price is decent, but the interface looks rushed, and it doesn't seem as polished as other products. Come on, stop trying to copy other programs and come up with new features that you can implement well.

Deja vu? - valx
Yeah, can you believe other people have had the audacity to come out with automobiles that have tires and steering wheels after Henry Ford did? And how about bookmarks in Web browsers? And remote controls for audio/video equipment? They're all just following the pack, can't they be original? And don't even get me started on how everyone has been putting buttons on clothing for thousands of years--what a rip off of the original inventors.Obviously you are not the "average user" evaluating this product and you have some other "special interest." If your worst critique is that they added a nice feature that wasn't 100% original, then you've got a major problem with 99% of everything on the market.
