being a big fan of dragonflies (i have one tattooed on my back), i downloaded this one right away to try it in "free" mode.

the style is typical of Skyrocket's other screen savers—fairly well rendered, stable, most functions are available without needing to pay. i'm impressed with the quality of the dragonflies, and while the wings could be more transparent, i think that might cause them to disappear completely over a busier background, so this seems to strike a good balance.

but also true to the other screen savers, the behaviors are a little odd and a bit too repetitive. Dragonflies don't wobble in flight, but they do change altitude. and even though they do tend to fly in straight lines, perhaps some large curves and turns could really add to the overall visual effect.

don't get me wrong—i think this is a good 1.0 release, and this will be the first Skyrocket screen saver i will keep and register. i don't expect this to achieve "Marine Aquarium" realism, however i think some cool improvements could be made. lose the wobbling, add some dips/climbs to the side-views and some curved paths to the top-views, and i'll change my rating to a 5!
