What about XMenu?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

I use XMenu, which is free, customizable, and works very well.
Another alternative is Butler, which is shareware, but offers much more.
I can't see what the plus of Classic Menu would be - moreover, XMenu does not get in the way of the X apple menu ( as I seem to remember from long ago about Classic Menu, but I'm not sure now anymore whether it still applies).

XMenu is great but it works as an Application menu replacement, on the right side of the screen. ClassicMenu is a replacement for the Apple menu, on the left side of the screen.
