Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

...so far as I am concerned:
1) You have to pay for this program BEFORE you can try it. The author offers a refund withing thirty days if the program doesn't meet your satisfaction, and I must say that he was good about refunding to me. Still, it is a damned nuisance to have to pay for a program before you can try it, then ask a refund if you don't like it.
2) As is the case with Fetch and some other FTP clients, there is no dual window file display (here and there, my computer and remote server) in Interarchy. Having to use the Finder for the local stuff is a pain because the file lists don't line up, line for line. Thus, I much prefer the side-by-side dual window display of many other FTP clients.

Note: I have tried just about every FTP client that exists for the Mac, and I finally settled on Transmit. (I consider Vicomsoft FTP and Captain fairly close runners-up.)

Two major drawbacks... - sjonke

You missed the "Local" submenu under the "File" menu. You can use that to browse your local machine within Interarchy. However, it is a bit awkwardly implemented. Myself I don't dislike using the Finder for this and I do dislike the two-pane approach of other programs. Most of the time I'm using Interarchy to edit files on servers directly anyway so the downloading to Mac part is transparent.

You do not have to pay for Interarchy before trying it out, there is a trial period of around seven non-consecutive days before it will time out.
