If you have large backup libraries on DVD or Tape then only purchase Retrospect 6.0 if you are prepared to spend months resetting your Bakup sets. Retrospect 6.0 is NOT backward compatible. You will have to start your backup sets again. - All Dantz can say is at least your scripts can be used again.

Make sure you also have updated to latest RETROSPECT application as that fixes some of the backward compatibility issues you mention: Retrospect 6.0.193

Retrospect 6.0.193 will allow you to restore from your 5.x backup sets.
