I fail to see any use or value in such a format - all I can do is look at it.

A fellow member of AUSOM (Apple Macintosh Users Society Of Melbourne) writes:\"I read about hassles downloading disk image files, the problem was that the \"machine code\" fills the browser page instead of being downloaded.
The solution offered was cryptic, something about using another browser.
It\'s easy, if a dmg file is written to the browser page instead of being downloaded, stop the download then option-click the link, bingo, problem solved.
The explanation is that the browser tries to \"read\" the dmg file instead of downloading it, the option-click forces it to download it.\"
I took his advice, and when I tried opening the downloaded file, it was automatically placed into the \"HotSync\" folder, ready for my next HotSync operation.
