I have the same trouble with the unknown error and the prompt to make sure that no other Dimage software is running, but I do not have a MFSLibibit-file. I have a MFSButtonCheck-file, but deleting that does nothing. I also tried deleting the Startup Item MFSButton Monitor from my system account profile, but that didn't help either. What's more, the old version of the scanner software won't work now either even though I uninstall everything I can think of. So now I have no working film scanner and I need to scan a photo for work today. Of course I'm an idiot since I didn't scan a copy before trying new software, but there you go.
I too have a co-existing Epson scanner, but this should have nothing to do with this problem. They have lived peacefully side by side for a long time.
I have to give Konica-Minolta (at least) two thumbs down for everything about this software. From the absurd chopped-up-into-pieces installer file, to the installation with no info on what the various parts actually do and no relevant readme info. There isn't even a version number anywhere on this thing to confirm that it is indeed the correct software version.
In the future I will download suftware and check support possibility before I buy a product.

Trouble - parke101

The original post spelled the file wrong. The actual name is MFSLibinit (I did a search for MFSLib and it turned up.

Hope That helps...
