Group ID buggy

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: cfatech Monday, June 14 2004 @ 11:24 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

When creating a group through User Manager, the Group ID starts at 1000 EACH time i start the program, thus wrongly assigning a group ID that is already taken by another group. It would be nice if it could query to find the next available group ID that can be allocated
System Info:OS X Client 10.3.4

Re: Group ID buggy - tmcintos

Thanks for the problem report; this is very helpful feedback. Please also let me know if there are features that you particularly like or do not like, or if you feel that something is missing.

I know that the functionality you describe is supposed to be in the program, but I can't remember if it is included in the released version or the current version that I have not yet released. I will look into it.

In the future, if you have time, please drop me an e-mail message at the address given on developer page for problem reports, in addition to posting it here. I don't check this site regularly, and am not automatically informed if new problem reports posted here.

Thanks!

Group ID buggy - aron3

The problem of IDs for new user and group records always starting at 1000 each time the program is launched was resolved in version 0.2.2, at least according to the release notes at http://www.avalon.net/~tmcintos/software/UserManager/index.html
