Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I've tried every single timer app listed in versiontracker and eliminated them one by one. This is the best for a repeat timer (like reminding to take a brake).

Has multiple timers, option to repeat/start automatically, puts a control in the menu bar for each timer, and gets your attention when the time is up, even if the app is hidden. Its surprising how many timers fall short in this last area.

Recommendations:

I have to agree with the previous comments about the interface. This is a cocoa document based app and each document is a separate timer, requiring a document to be open for each timer running. There has to be a way around this, or at least include a control to toggle the document's visibility so the desktop doesn't get cluttered when Final Countdown is in the foreground? Its also kind of easy to accidentally change a timer. How about a lock? Thes controls could be located in the "Timers" window.

Also, Its too easy to close a timer by closing the document. How about a confirmation if the timer is running? Or a dialog asking if the user just want to hide/lock it?

Also, each document gets its own icon in the menu bar. This is also clunky. How about one icon that shows the status of every open timer?

Also, and this is really nitpicking, but maybe add transparency to the background of the menu bar icon?

Either way, I'm giving it five stars for being the current best.
