At least in Acro 5 the Mac version did not support maintaining links when converting Word documents, while the Windows version did. Was this added to the Mac version of Acro 6? I need to know that it does have it before ordering it. I can't find any info on this on Adobe's web pages and in my case if it doesn't support links then there is no point in paying for a copy.

Do you know if Adobe plans to fix this? It's a hug shortcoming, IMO - but thanks for the tip - I'll give this a try.SB

No, I don't know. Maybe other people have better experiences than I have, however.Tuesday, June 08 2004 @ 11:39 AM PDT

Acrobat PDFmaker in Word doesn't work well for me. It's slow and often doesn't even complete the job, but hangs. I generally convert doc to PDF by using the Print menu "Print to PDF" option, which doesn't convert the links. I don't know if PDFmaker maintains the links as I just can't get it to work.A work-around is to save your Word document in html, then convert the html file in Acrobat using Acrobat's File > Create PDF option. That maintains html links very well.
