Thanks to Bren I decided to give it a try using the stand-alone TFTP program that can be found at http://www.mactechnologies.com/pages/tftpinst.html#linksys. I also followed the instructions there, except that you do not let stuffIt expand the file. I used the address 192.168.1.1 as it stated in the instructions and the password "admin". My network seems much faster now. It would be nice to have had a "Read me" file included in the package. Thanks.

Worked perfectly for me! ... until !!! - Tom Myers

I would like to update my rating and comments. After using this for a week or so, I've had problems with my Linksys keeping contact with my cable modem. Never had this problem before. After unplugging the power for about 10 seconds, it then establishes contact. This has happened at least a dozen times in the past week.

I would like to take back all 5 stars.
