If this uses the Web Kit, which is Safari's rendering engine, how can it be faster than Safari?

Quick Question - Wade Tregaskis

It can be faster than Safari because the WebKit is just a rendering engine - it doesn't concern itself with all the details, like actually obtaining the content, caching, etc. So it's quite plausible to make a faster browser than Safari - indeed, Safari has a lot of major performance problems which are mistaken as features, so it's quite likely an "underfeatured" knock off will be faster.
