Until now, I've never had a problem with installing any updates from Apple. OS 10.3.4 is a major exception. After installing on my main drive I was unable to startup again without going to a second hard drive and installing 10.0.0 on it from my original Panther disk. Then I RE-installed 10.3.4 on the main drive and it works . . . sort of. Now 10.3.4 only starts up sometimes on the main drive and usually requires a power button off-on before coming up properly.
Worse yet, the time and date in my menu bar no longer work despite many visits to the preference pane.. Any ideas on how to fix this? (Beach ball spins if I put a cursor on time in menu bar.)

I believe you mean the orig Panther disk is version 10.3.0, not 10.0.0.What was your prior system configuration?
