When I try to mount other Macs via the "Connect to server", I get the following message: "Can't make a secure connection to YourServer. The server YourServer does not support secure connections via SSH. To connect with reduced security, click Continue." I have SSH enabled, can login remotely via SSH. Was it always the case that mounting via afp was insecure and now Apple is just letting me know?

Me too. I posted a similar comment. I have seen postings on macfixit, and in the apple discussion group. (I posted there too.)Thursday, May 27 2004 @ 03:50 PM PDT

I have the same problem with secure connections. I have upgraded two of our machines and each gives the message:The server _Servername_ does not support secure connections via SSH. To connect with reduced security, click Continue."
That message does not occur on the machines running 10.3.3. I don't know how to tell if they are making secure connections or not. I can connect via the terminal and SSH fine on either the 10.3.3 or 10.3.4 machines.
I have not upgraded our server (running Apple Mac OS X ServerĀ 10.3.3) yet since I don't want to break all our connections.
