Could anyone help with this? I keep getting this issue when I repair permissions. It started when I updated to 10.3.3 and continues with 10.3.4
We are using special permissions for the file or directory ./System/Library/Filesystems/cd9660.fs/cd9660.util. New permissions are 33261
Aside from this the update appears to be flawless.

Permission issue - mondomax
No CD in drive is required to get the message reported. I get it every time I run DU to repair permissions on all my Macs, except dual 1.8 G5. Strange. The "special permissions" note used to come up under 10.2 for a while too. I wish Apple would explain this sort of thing.Wednesday, May 26 2004 @ 04:21 PM PDT

I've been seeing this issue since the early days of 10.2, and it doesn't seem to have any ill effect, but it still BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME!Wednesday, May 26 2004 @ 04:17 PM PDT

This is not a bug, it just says that the permissions of this file (cd...) are hard-coded and cannot be overwritten by DiskUtility. It actually tells you that your Mac is working correctly. Don't worry about it.Friday, May 28 2004 @ 04:46 AM PDT

This isn't unique to this update. This happens under 10.3.3 (and possibly earlier versions of 10.3.x as well.) It isn't an error; it's more of an "announcement" that those unusual permissions are being used. Nothing to worry about!Reply to This
