nice interface but it can only read mpeg2 (I tried mpeg 4, avi, mov)

Use ffmpegX or MPEG2Works to convert formats; this product only creates VCDs; it doesn't transcode video formats.

Personally, I think that's a good thing, as it allows people to use whatever transcoding software they want.
