I will definitely agree. Mac OS X needs voice therapy in a major way. As a matter of fact, this is what is keeping me from using any of the voice functionality of Mac OS X. I have spoken with some folks before at http://www.cepstral.com who say that they actually have a beta working for Mac OS X THAT ACTUALLY WORKS WITH THE APPLE ENGINE, but I've not heard back from them in many months which is quite frustrating. They have very good voices that could change the Mac OS X voice world very much. Perhaps some more pressure from other Mac OS X users could get something out the door for us all to enjoy?

Voice Therapy... Cepstral - Matthew_Weinstein_666
I like the variety of voices at Cepstral. I haven't tried David and Diane, the newest and clearly most developed Cepstral voices, but I will say that Apple's Vicki is comparable to the others, and better in most respects.Tuesday, July 26 2005 @ 06:03 AM PDT

The Cepstral voices have been released and they are amazing. See the Cepstral entry elsewhere on versiontracker.Reply to This
