What good does that do? If someone pilfered your Mac the IP address would change…
Or rather does it report updated IP addresses? Should clarify.

IP address? - Demolition

Have a look at the website (http://www.trackyourmac.net/). It clearly explains that the IP address can be tracked via e-mail or displayed on a website. If the Mac is stolen and eventually gets back on the web, the rightful owner is notified of the new IP address. Using the IP address, law enforcement can trace the Mac to its new location and, with any luck, recover it.
