So, every app in Office 2004 supports right-to-left languages EXCEPT Word, the one where it is needed most. I'm waiting for Apple's answer to Word, so I can toss Office immediately. Word still feels slow on my 800mhz G4; nowhere near as responsive as Office on a similarly fast PC. Tons of lame features I have no use for.
Thanks for nothing MS.
Apple, you did an awesome job with Keynote, now let's see a MS Word killer.

During January's MacWorld, I spoke to one of the developers about this. It has to do with the text rendering engine. When the rendering engine from the Windows platform is ported (hopefully next version), then it should be able to handle right to left text. In the mean time, Mellel and Nisus are quite capable for most needs.Reply to This
