How on earth did you manage to make it so slow? Simple game, not even fullscreen and it hogs all my cpu-time and it's still slow! G4 400 pb with 2 screens, Panther is my system, should be enough for that but no, slow as a snail in winter :) Weird. Doesn't even help to shut down other applications, stil slooooooowwww. Too bad, this would be otherwise cool retro game :(

It should run at 30 fps on pretty much any Mac. If that's not what you're seeing, then something is wrong, and I'd appreciate it if you would contact me by email (joe@strout.net) so we can figure out what it is.

Thanks,
- Joe

Try disconnecting the second monitor and see how it works then. Just a wild guess.

Check your Activity Monitor to see what's doing the CPU hogging. This game never reached 50% for me on a 667MHz TiBook.

I did some checking, and found out that Powerbooks don't support hardware-accelerated graphics when a second monitor is attached (in non-mirror mode). Disconnect the second monitor, or switch it to mirror mode, and it should work fine. Unfortunately there's not much I can do about this.
