In response to Hansi's comment: If you set a shell script to open with Terminal, it will be executed from the user's home directory and without a console window. Usually, what you want is to execute the shell script from its parent directory, and with a console window showing the script's output. This is what Shellsilver does. Hopefully Apple will make the default behavior more sensible in the future, and Shellsilver will be unnecessary.
