It's worth noting that unless you actually pay for these "screensavers", they're pretty useless as such. Paying enables you to change to background color to something (black!) more befitting an actually useful screensaver.
Otherwise, these are merely eye candy, with no other practical function.

I am not a fan of these screen savers either, but you obviously have no idea what the purpose of a screen saver is.Screen savers are to stop screen burn. All that needs to be done to do that, is a pixel changing, in any way. So, as long as there is some sort of image, or whatever, regardless of color, which moves around the screen, causing all the pixels to change at one point or another, the screen will not burn in.
Make sense?
So, the background color doesn't matter, as long as the cicadas move all over the screen, refreshing the pixels.
