I got RoC and TFT the first days they were released and I have never, *ever* had a problem updating on my iMacs and two TiBooks...I can't understand why people are having all of these problems, and I was able to login to the Westfall beta server just fine.

I'd suggest going to the battle.net forums and signing up, there's a thread where they want people to post all glitches. :/

That said, WC3 and the expo are the best $80 or so I've ever spent on a game. Constant updates and balances, new units, and now a new hero and RT is WAY more balanced! Plus there's a plethora of modified games available for play as well...

I sincerely hope that they continue adding new heros and items, and that one day the Merc camp slots are filled with new heros...hell I'd go for another expansion, but with WoW that looks unlikely.

---as for the 9 vs X issue, I've heard that for big battles, 9 is better, but for faster load times, X wins. If you're having slowdown issues, I'd recommend shutting off anything like a konfabulator widget or extra apps...free up all the memory you can when playing.
