This was a router was a mistake. 4 different version of it and you do not know which version you will get when ordering online. Add to the fact that the firmware is never updated and I will not be purchasing a Linksys next time around.
The router does work....unless you use 128bit WEP and an airport card!

I have a version 2 router, was able to install this firmware via web browser (Safari) in less than a minute. When I bought it, Linksys didn't support Macs and I don't know if that's changed. Hasn't mattered for me, I've had this unit for three years and it's never given me any problems at all. To install via browser, just type in the router's IP address, go to the "help" menu, and choose "upgrade firmware". Locate the file you downloaded and click "go". Give it 30-45 seconds and you should be all set. Just be sure you check your router's version (on the bottom near the serial number) to make sure it's 2 or higher.Reply to This
