I love to play games on the computer because I don't need anyone else to play, and I can play anytime day or night. I have purchased and learned to play several new games this way. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to learn to play Othello because I know that it is a popular game. I downloaded the software with no problem and read the instructions provided. I have learned the basic mechanics of the game and even won a few time, but I have not been able to figure out the necessary strategies for playing skillfully. When I win, I cannot figure out how I accomplished it. This game, as it is, appears to be targeting people who are already familiar with it. I would be willing to bet that there are others like me who would like to learn the game and would purchase it, if there was more instructional information provided--perhaps a tutorial or helpful hints. You describe it as a highly addictive game, however, my pleasure has been minimized by my inability to develop, without assistance, the skills to play strategically.
