Just an aside, but do I take it that this update will not make my 'non-dock' iPod compatible with the new Apple Codec? Why?
Surely there's not THAT much difference inside the iPod?
And there was me being proud to be an early adopter, not suffering from battery or volume problems associated with the newer generations, and now it would seem that the Lossless Encoding is something I won't be enjoying???
