I had some problems creating the new boot disk with the update. I have two burners hooked up to my system (a Superdrive and a 48x CDR burner) and the automated process would not allow me to burn the disk in either burner. Selecting the 48x burner would result in a disk I couldn't eject and no reaction from the update. Putting a CDR in the Superdrive resulted in a failed burn immediately. What I ended up doing was going to /private/tmp and moving the created disk image someplace safe before quitting the DiskWarrior updater. Then I burned it with Disk Utility with my Superdrive (my 48x burner still had a disk stuck in it). The resultant disk works great.

So if anyone else has problems similar to mine, burn the created disk image with disk Utility.
