Who is ScheduleWorld?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

Is anyone else concerned with exactly "WHO" ScheduleWorld represents?

A company in Ottowa with a 555-1212 phone number, no information about the developers, no names at all???

Please don't call me an alarmist, but I say proceed with caution. They emphasize repeatedly that this software is free, based on open-standards, and that your data is "Safe".

How safe when I don't even know who the folks who're hosting my information are?

Who is ScheduleWorld? - MarkSwanson

You alarmist! :-)

Relax, ScheduleWorld is a product of Web Service Solutions, Inc. a Federal corporation registered in the province of Ontario.

I'll add a note about this on the website shortly.
Note: Since it takes 2 seconds to find out what company owns a domain name I suspect most people would have just typed: `whois scheduleworld.com`.

Further, and most importantly, realize that ScheduleWorld runs in a secure sandbox. The application can't read your hard drive, install viruses/spyware, sniff your keystrokes or network packets. You don't have to trust the application because of the environment it runs in.

In a world overflowing with viruses, spyware, and security holes ScheduleWorld is a shining example of how software should be done.

I suggest that before sounding the alarm in the future, it would be polite of you to at least have the courtesy of emailing me so I have a fair chance at dealing with your concern.

Cheers.
