Are you kidding me?!
I've searched far and wide for an application that would allow me to rip my DVDs into some kind of QuickTime-compatible format for easy off-line viewing. This app does it all and then some. With one click I can strip a DVD of the useless menu features and rip a DVD to an MPEG4. With a video setting of 1024kbps and audio at 160kbps, I end up with an MPEG4 file about 1.5GB in size and it plays perfectly, even on an old G4/400MHz machine like mine. Sure, it takes about 6 - 8 hours to rip an entire DVD, but it's a "set it and forget it" application and runs all night without a hitch to produce a clean MPEG4 file for me.
Kudos to the developer. He'll be receiving my donation shortly.
I'd still like to know the legality of an application like this, but for the time being, for personal use, I don't think I'm breaking any laws. A wonderful application.
