I also have been unable to download "Pyrotechnium." Actually, I can download the zip file, no problem. Dropping it on "StuffIt Expander" produces a folder named "Pyrotechnium 1_1", as I assume it should. This folder in turn contains the Read Me plus two folders, "Pyrotechnium" and "__MACOSX". The first of these is presumably supposed to be the app itself. I'm guessing the second folder contains the resource fork info, which ought to have been automatically reintegrated with the data fork during decompression, but some reason is not.
Seems like the zip file was created with a utility not compatible with some versions of Stuffit Expander. I thought perhaps it (the zip file) was created using the OS-X built-in archiving function, but when I used that built-in function to unzip the file, I got the same broken result as before. I be stumped.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.3 and StuffIt Expander 7.0.

Problems with Download - Graham Cox
Oops, I should have read on - you've already tried that. Hmmm, weird... It's hard to know what to suggest, it works for me. In fact I don't need to do anything special, Safari deals with that when I click the link - I just end up with the unzipped folder on the desktop.I've copied the .zip file to my public folder on my iDisk - you could try connecting to that and downloading it that way. My iDisk ID is graham.cox

Try not using Stuffit Expander. The archive is created using the "archive...items" command in the 10.3 Finder - all you need to do is double-click the .zip file and it should be expanded properly by a component of the OS. I've not tried using the file with Stuffit Expander so maybe it's not compatible with the archive command.Reply to This
