Looking at the reviews for Dreamweaver and GoLive here at Versiontracker, I'm struck by the fact that we apparently don't have a satisfactory WYSIWYG HTML editor for Mac OS X. I'm still using my creaky Symantec "Visual Page" in Classic, but that's obviously going nowhere. I don't want to invest in either of the pricey apps mentioned above without more assurance that they will be fully usable. Isn't there something, perhaps with fewer "bells and whistles" that could be recommended for someone who does not build web sites full-time? I know about Mozilla's Composer, but that does not support frames. Any suggestions appreciated.

Have a look at Freeway http://www.softpress.com/en. I can't run Dreamweaver on my iMac (old G3), but Freeway works great.Reply to This
