Speed Download apparently changes something in the OS in order to make it the download vehicle. After "uninstalling" it and trashing it neither Safari nor OmniWeb will download. Looks like Speed Download people have come up with a unique way of getting their $20.

System Info:I'm using 3.3 version of Panther and Speed Download 1.3.4 on a new powerbook.

Hi there,
Just read your post. I have the same problem. How do you get rid of Speed Download so that I can use the Download Manager again.
