I like the customization potential. But the instability and lack of integration with keychain are major issues for daily use. It forgets passwords, and always gives a "GAIM error - unable to read" with the YIM protocol.
I think Adium 2 has a lot of potential, and is one to watch. But for now, I'm going back to Fire.

Heh, bunches of us have been grabbing builds of Adium for about a year now, during which time it was just "Adium 2". "Adium X" is totally usable and not so Alpha if you ask me. If you switched back to Fire then you have other problems than Adium being "Alpha", you may just be a Fire user. There are several sects when it comes to IM clients; The two largest being Adium and Proteus. Fire is also one of those sects. If you don't like Adium it may not be for you, as Fire and Proteus don't float my boat at all, but Adium X is nowhere near Alpha.;)
