I still have yet to figure out why it takes forever to load Norton off CD. I understand that CDs are much slower, but it sounds like the dang drive is doing a butterfly seek test while it loads. I went in an looked at the cd in Speed disk and notice that it is hardly optimized. What does it say when the program that is supposed to optimize one's drive is not optimized. I fully appreciate all Norton Utilities gives us, but it just seems that the higher the version, the slower things get. Almost ten minutes to load off the CD is ridiculous, even if they do say it will take up to that to load. Why, when other bootable programs run circles around it? I will still purchase Norton, but am getting rather frustrated with it.
