Initially I was flumoxed that Hog Bay had gotten rid of the great sidebar menu with folders system, however if you choose to 'show outline on left' and uncheck 'show checkboxes' in the 'outline/status' menu, hog bay will work as a faster, steamlined version of 2.2 with the advantage of using the sidebar as a navigator (which I don't use). I love the new version, and the Hog Bay Notebook remains one of my five key bits of OSX software i could not do without.
