This is the fastest version I've ever seen. I've played 4 levels in version 0.7 and they all ran fast. No complaints.

darn fast - pdot

I played all the currently available levels (22 human and 5 necromancer) and they all ran well. A few of the human levels (#15-17, I think) seemed a little slow but I played each only once so they could've been an isolated cases.
Oh, also worth nothing is that there are multiple storyline and levels possibilities depending on things like whether or not a character lives (eg Moremiru), which character gets the Scepter of Fire, which path you decide to take, etc.
