Cooling Off Period?

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Can anyone tell me if they fixed that incredibly annoying 10 second 'cooling off period' thing that was in 2.1b? I had to revert to 2.0 because of that. Also, does anyone know if one-way video chat with AIM users is working now?

I'm not sure if this is what you are refering to, but with the beta I experienced a painful pause on application start (connection to service). That pause seems to be gone. It now seems to start/connect immediately.

if you are talking about the anti-spam blocker where if you send multiple messages within a period of time and you get this error: The AIM service could not send the message: You have sent too much data too quickly. Please wait a little while before sending more. This has not been "fixed" i am not even sure it's an ichat issue, i think it's an AIM issue.

No, I'm not talking about the AIM error, but the iChat one that happens when you send more than 10 messages in one minute, and then makes you wait 10 seconds before continuing. I forget the specific text, but it's different from the AIM 'too much data' one, and occurs much more often for me. It was unacceptable, as I am a fast typer, forcing me to revert to 2.0.
