calendar font problem

wclock seems to be working fine for me under 10.3.3 but the font in the calendar appears to be too large, resulting in any two-digit days only displaying the first digit. it doesn't appear possible to resize the window horizontally to make the second number visible. i'm not sure where it's getting it's font information from, perhaps system settings, but i'm not particularly interested in changing any systemwide settings for a specific app. the other 'bug' appears to be in the font displaying characteristics, the AA of the fonts isn't clean making them look rough & there appears to be clipping on the left edge of the left-most character depending on which font is chosen (it's clearly visible with fonts like Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, Garamond). as an additional oddity it seems to occupy 1-2% CPU continuously, I'm not sure what it's doing, perhaps this is standard for other menubar apps.
