Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Using MacOS 10.3.3 on my G5 - 1,8, evrything is running smooth, except a very anoying problem:
my USB ports gets corupted when importing images of my Canon Digital Camera. I tested it with a Canon G5 and a D300, both the same... :(
Images can't be imported or are damaged in an ugly way...
All other USB equipment I have hasn't got the problem, so it has something to do with the way Canon connects, I guess...

On a second partition I tested it again with a clean install 10.2.8 and updated to 10.3 : No problem.
Then after updating that partition to 10.3.3 , I noticed the same problem again. Seems to be a bug in 10.3.3?

I will soon test it on an iMac with 10.3.3 and will report if its a G5 only problem

Someone else having the same problem?

WARNING for G5 users and Canon digicams - uzboxberg

I had probably the same problem from 10.2.8 on, that is when transfer mode (in "menu" last item) on the camera was set to "normal" (default) it would no longer work. Sometimes only some images were transferred, and the process was blocked completely when transferring movie files. Works fine however when set to "PTP". Curiously, my cameras were set to "normal" before 10.2.6 and transfer would work.
