Well after deleting the first version and downloading it again it worked. I was at 3 hours when I gave up on waiting for it and went to dinner. I put a blank in my external 8x burner and when I came home it was finished.

I tried the DVD in my very old DVD player that was top of the line 4 years ago and it didn't work. The cheapo one I paid $30 for at the Sears Day after Thanksgiving Sale plays them without a problem. The new DVD player is a Koss that states on the front that it plays DVD-Rs so maybe that is the difference.

I have a 1ghz Dual Processor with 360GBs of HD and 1.5GB of RAM and it didn't go over 70% of my processor capacity once. This app is definitely not fast but you could leave it overnight if you have a reader and separate burner.

It works for me but I certainly wouldn't pay $100 for it. Not unless it was MUCH speedier and had a few Region features or the ability to rip other formats and maybe not even then. $30-$45 seems much more in line for an app that still seems to be in Beta.

Don't forget to report your bugs, thats the only way they will know what to fix.

Works For Me But To Damn Expensive - DSSmonkey

Really..? I tried mine in my DVD player from Sears (purchased for $30 the day after Thanksgiving, too), an APEX... It recognised it as a DVD, but wouldn't get past the warning screen.

I'm sure this is their S/N specific trickery at work; and man, I'd like to get a look at that code...

I guess What I'm askin' is did id actually play on the Koss, or just the warning screen..?

This one-test-copy thing isn't the deal breaker for me - it's their attitude and overpricing.
