Oh why did Apple decide to use "Cyrus" as the new mail system. Talk about unstable!

C'mon Apple - You can do better than this!!!

Why, what?! -

Excuse me? Apples own mail server was complete crap and crashed ALL the time, every day it crashed. Cyrus + postfix run ALL the time, never crashes and the speed is excellent. So please tell me what mailserver Apple should have chosen? I used to run sendmail+uw_imap and that worked ok, but was slow at times. It didn't crash as much as Apple Mailserver did at least, and that was why I ran sendmail in the first place. Sendmail is such an old beast to configure though, and isn't really very fast. I'm extremely happy with Apples choice to go with Cyrus and Postfix. Couldn't be better. Sorry to hear you have problems...
