I have explored several dvd cataloging apps and have found the interface of DVDpedia to be most appealing. I am currently still in the trial version (10 entry limit) and I am looking into purchasing the product. However, I have only been testing the app a couple weeks and there has been at least 4 updates. I appreciate the work and effort going into development, but I am weary of buying the program then it quickly becoming outdated. When the program reaches version 2.0 (which at this rate could be in a month) will I have to buy an updated version? That is why I am hesitant to buy.

Nice App but why updates almost daily? - ReflectionofTRUTH
Dont get me wrong, I definitely promote this program. It is obvious that alot of hours have went into its development. I also have no problem paying the $14. I simply do not want to have to turn around and purchase the app all over again in a months time. Thats all.Wednesday, March 10 2004 @ 04:58 PM PST

So what you are saying is this is the best cataloging software out there, but you don't like the fact that it keeps getting better free of charge daily. I don't know about you, but I would pay a lot more than 14 dollars for that. I already own it but I would pay for an upgrade just for the smart collections. I look forward to 2.0 someday, at this rate of improvement it would be the best application of any kind. I have spent less than i spend on a DVD for this app and it's been worth it.Reply to This
