Nice App but why updates almost daily?

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I have explored several dvd cataloging apps and have found the interface of DVDpedia to be most appealing. I am currently still in the trial version (10 entry limit) and I am looking into purchasing the product. However, I have only been testing the app a couple weeks and there has been at least 4 updates. I appreciate the work and effort going into development, but I am weary of buying the program then it quickly becoming outdated. When the program reaches version 2.0 (which at this rate could be in a month) will I have to buy an updated version? That is why I am hesitant to buy.

So what you are saying is this is the best cataloging software out there, but you don't like the fact that it keeps getting better free of charge daily. I don't know about you, but I would pay a lot more than 14 dollars for that. I already own it but I would pay for an upgrade just for the smart collections. I look forward to 2.0 someday, at this rate of improvement it would be the best application of any kind. I have spent less than i spend on a DVD for this app and it's been worth it.

Dont get me wrong, I definitely promote this program. It is obvious that alot of hours have went into its development. I also have no problem paying the $14. I simply do not want to have to turn around and purchase the app all over again in a months time. Thats all.
