I think this is great that we have a player that will work on a G3 powerbook in Mac OS X Apple player will not see our DVD drives in X . so thanks I was able to put Panther on my Powerbook and it works great. The Video is a little jerky and Maybe some one else knows something that I don't about this part or maybe I need a little faster drive.

VLC on G3 powerbook - Quobobo

Nah, your drive is fine, but your Powerbook is just too slow. VLC isn't the fastest app around, but the amount of systems and codecs it supports is amazing.
