RealBasic (RB)needs to get it together. Everyday I see more libraries for RB and have to ask "why is this not included in RB".
IMHO RB will never make it as a "professional" development tool until much of Monkey Board and another 200 or so libraries are included within RB.
Currently, RB is just a fat framework IDE, with all these bits and pieces floating around. I can have no confidence as a developer that changes made in RB will not cause problems with libraries. It is too fragmented.
RB should open their purse and purchase all these libraries and hire a few of the shareware programmers to ride herd on them.
Until this happens RB will remain an interesting platform for quick and dirty and kiddy applications.
It will never become the long hoped for "Visual Basic" of the Mac.
Hopefully somebody will develop a BASIC that will integrate with the APPLE Development System soon.

Great, another update... - Diego Rey Méndez
I have coded with RealBasic and Visual Basic in the past, and let me assure you that the attention to details in RB is completely absent in VB... a much better IDE if you ask me.I use C++ though.
