I've owned all versions FAXstf X since I had to give up on global village ever becoming OSX compatible. I have never been able to get faxes (send and receive) to work reliably. The SW failed to activate for incoming faxes and failed to transmit after numerous attempts. I finally deinstalled it and asked for a refund from Smith-Micro. For now I'll stick to the built-in (reliable) faxing capability of Panther.
