Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I have a 1Ghz FW800 G4, Geforce4 with 1GB RAM and I can get very playable frame rates in all demo levels except the first one (is that onslaught or Assault). This with some whistles turned off but running at a very healthy 1280x1024 32bit.
I doesn't run as well as UT2003 (I have full game with update) though.
It does not appear anything more than new maps on the UT2003 engine. The graphics are no better (I know I have things turned down to play but I have turned them up to look) and UT2003 just flies on my G4 (well 50fps is flying to me!)

Finally UT2004 is worth the download, unplug your iSight and have a go.

Perhaps it's because you have an nvidia card and that the game has been optimised for playability with one. I've now tried this on a number of ATI-carded G4s and the frame rate is unplayable on each of them.
