They actually want people to pay fifteen bucks for this??? here's what you can do yourself - with no downlaoaded software - FOR FREE:

In Windows XP Home/XP Professional/2000:
1) Open: Start> Control Panel.
2) Open "Administative Tools" folder
3) Open "Services"
4) Scroll down to "Messenger" and double-click it.
5) Under "Startup Type" select "Disabled"
6) Click the "Stop" button
7) Click "OK" and close all windows.

You're done. and you've saved $15. Go buy yourself and another person dinner with the money you saved.
