Working in Prepress today, tried to send a ps file to the RIP of an A3 colour file and the file kept being written as 0Kb. OK, so I tried to make a PDF file because the RIP takes PDF, but the PDF didn't seperate into CMYK properly, kept dropping out the black plate? Really crap! So I used the other Mac running Os9 and Quark 5 and it did it fine.
How can they justify charging $3K for this software when the entire Adobe CS pack with photoshop, etc etc and Indesign which beats crap out of Quark and costs less?. Why do these stodgy old printers stick with this crusty piece of crap software maintaining Quark's monica of "industry standard"? Die Quark Die, you are halting progress, you are hampering art. Oh yeah, plus your technical support in Australia is non-existant, well it was today anyway.
